Suicide blast shocks eastern Afghan town, kills 1, wounds 5
A suicide bombing targeted intelligence department in Kunar's provincial capital Assadabad on Saturday, killing one person and injuring five others, an official said.
"A suicide bomber blew himself up next to the department of National Directorate for Security (NDS) in Assadabad city killing one civilian and injuring five other including three police and a woman," the official told Xinhua but declined to give his name, saying authorized officials would brief the media after investigation.
He also stressed that the attacker was a woman who was perished after her blast.
Meantime, Farooq Sahak the director of health department in Assadabad city confirmed that five injured people have been taken to hospital.
